At Home in Phillips Park
Washington, DC
ARCHITECT: ANNE DECKER
LANDSCAPE DESIGNER: MARION OXFORD DEARTH
CONTRACTOR: GIBSON BUILDERS

A new build that captures the timeless elegance of a bygone era in American architecture, this home exudes comfort, boasting exquisite attention to detail in the moldings, built-ins, and staircase. The library is alder wood with leather upholstered walls and clever door panels concealing working desks. The living room has a TV hidden behind the fireplace mirror and a bar that delights. The inspiration for the bar came from 16th-century baroque architecture reinterpreted in a contemporary way. Vintage and new lighting are used throughout.
